The research theme adults consists of the following projects:


Alcohol and employment
This multi-centre trial will examine the effects of a combination of welfare-to-work schemes and alcohol treatment.


'Free start' - Comparing the Effect of Smoking Cessation Programmes using Telephone Counselling and Digital Media
The primary objective of the study is to compare the efficacy of four different smoking cessation programmes.


Alcohol Treatment Online

This project investigates whether individuals with a problematic alcohol use, who are offered online treatment, to a greater extent initiate and comply with treatment and reduce their alcohol intake compared with individuals who are offered standard treatment.


Take a Stand!
The aim of this intervention study is to reduce sitting time, increase breaks and reduce prolonged sitting periods among Danish adults with office work.


Motivation in General Practice

The project studies whether interventions with motivational interviewing and follow-up in general practice can promote the health of citizens without formal education or who live alone.


Structural prevention of smoking

We aim at investigating if the Danish smoking legislation has impacted smoking-related morbidity and mortality.
